Arctic Open will hold workshops on crowdfunding and lighting
On December 8th-9th, Arctic Open International Film Festival will host workshops called “Crowdfunding as a tool of project financing and promotion” and “Practical theory of lighting”.

The workshop will be given by Egor Elchin, the head of “Crowdfunding School” of Planeta.ru. He will talk about how to organize fundraising campaign for your project wisely and why creating a system of rewards is crucial.
Egor Elchin said: “I have been in the sphere of crowdfunding for as long as it existed in Russia, which is 5 years. Today everyone is aware of it but not everybody can describe what it actually means. The first thing which comes to your mind is the concept of people’s funding, many a little makes a mickle sort of thing.”

The workshop on practical theory of lighting will be given by Alexander Nosovsky, a cinematographer, lecturer at Mitta Cinematography School. Alexander Nosovsky has participated as a camera operator in more than 30 popular movies. He will speak about using light in a studio and on a movie-set.
Alexander Nosovsky said: “This is the kind of a lecture about lighting I wanted to attend when I was a VGIK(RSUC) student. Unfortunately, there was no one who could give it to me. So I had to gather material myself. It took me 20 years to finally do this.”
The workshops are organized by the Regional Department of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
